In most outdoor courses, whether it’s a survival course, or an Avalanche Safety Training, you start by drinking through a fire hose. You learn a bunch of information in a classroom, and then briefly apply those skills in an outdoor setting.
Once the program is complete, you’re left to your own devices. It’s your responsibility to find the time and people to apply those skills with, which rarely happens. Before you know it, several months have passed and everything you learned has been forgotten.
At BC Wilderness Adventures, we aim to change that.
Our learning environments hold you accountable to not only obtaining but maintaining the skills needed to be self-sufficient in remote environments.
We don’t subscribe to the “one and done” mentality.
Our trips allow you to apply what you learn in an immersive and repeatable way building confidence and depth of understanding.
You’ll walk away knowing exactly what’s required to thrive in the backcountry.
Furthermore, you'll get to do it while exploring remote regions of BC only accessible by foot with friendly like-minded adventurers.
In addition to guiding small groups through amazing landscapes, Dave offers training and instruction in ski touring, sea kayaking, glacier travel, and crevasse rescue.
He works closely with school and university-based programs as educators and guides.
Dave has a wealth of knowledge about local landscapes and will make you feel connected with the geographic location and local communities. As your guide, he will ensure you have a safe, yet enjoyably challenging outdoor adventure.
When he's not dreaming up new adventures for clients, or spending time outdoors with his family, Nick works as a digital marketing consultant.
He consults a wide variety of businesses ranging from software companies to tourism and travel authorities, to local service providers.
His passion (other than BC Wilderness Adventures), is helping clients acquire new customers and drive revenue to grow their businesses.
